Sadie is a solid 40 pounds, has been spayed and is up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives. Unfortunately, when left alone, she is still a work in progress. When I am home and she is with me, Sadie goes outside to do all business. They have their dog beds, nylabones, water and there is no issue, except, Sadie still will not keep a “clean” room. Sadie and her foster male cattle dog sibling share the basement when I am at work. She did exhibit some separation anxiety initially, but that seems to have tapered off as she has become more comfortable and confident in her surroundings. And therefore, when you come home, Sadie is not clean. While she will go in with a treat as enticement and is quiet, she does not keep a clean crate. She is still very wary of people, especially men. We have been working on her socialization. Sadie has come a long way in a short period of time, but she still has a ways to go. While she LOVES to play ball, go for rides, and go to the dog park, she also loves to curl up on the couch and nap, or chew quietly on a bone. ![]() She gets along fine with other dogs, but she pretty much ignores them, so if you are looking for a playmate for your dog, she may not the one for you. Sadie knows sit, drop it, leave, and walks well on a leash. But with some treats, she quickly learned what the game was really all about. She would run after it, jump on it with her front paws, and run back to me. She LOVES to play fetch, but definitely didn’t know what to do with the ball at first. ![]() At night, when relaxing, her favorite place to be is on your lap. Sadie rolls over easily for belly rubs and loves to give kisses. Now, after some pets, she has become my foot warmer. Within a few days, she was jumping up on the bed at night to sleep and would curl right up against me. Sadie is cattle dog mix who is approximately 1 year old and very loving. That’s how this young southern belle ended up near Pittsburgh with the Australian Cattle Dog Assoc. She didn’t do very well in the shelter, especially after her pups moved on, and quickly needed rescuing. Sadie came to me from a shelter in GA after she was surrendered with her pups.
